“Tremendous facilities and great choice” characterises provision in Design and Technology. This area of the curriculum is particularly well served with its own suite of computers, CAD/CAM technology and widespread specialist and refurbished accommodation. Emphasis is high on creativity and quality.
Students experience the full range of options at Key Stage 3 including Resistant Materials, Electronics and Graphics as well as Food and Textiles Technology. At Key Stage 4 GCSE Design Technology, BTEC Engineering and GCSE Food and Nutrition is offered.
The Art rooms provide an exciting and vibrant area to work. Here students can experience a wide range of themes and activities whilst enjoying using a variety of 2D and 3D media. GCSE Fine Art and Art Photography are available as option choices in Key Stage 4.
Students work towards making personal choices in completing high quality finished pieces.
