Performing Arts – GCSE Dance, Drama and Music

The school is very proud of its outstanding tradition in the Arts. Indeed the school is delighted to hold the rare and prestigious award of “Gold Artsmark” in recognition of its quality of provision and standards of achievement.

At Key Stage 3 students are taught Art, Music, Dance and Drama as separate subjects and all four of these subjects are highly successful options in Key Stage 4.

Students regularly participate in local and national competitions and performances and peripatetic music lessons are available to practicing musicians.

Outstanding school performances are held each year with the School Carol Concert, Dance Show, Evening of Excellence in Music and several productions which include whole school productions and GCSE Drama Exam performances.

Performing Arts Ties are awarded to students for excellence in the Arts.
