A broad Science education at Key Stage 3 with impressive outcomes is a useful preparation for greater choice and specialism at Key Stage 4.
At Key Stage 4 students study GCSE Science. Within the GCSE course students either follow the three separate science courses of Biology, Chemistry, Physics (known as ‘Triple Science’) or follow Core Science and Additional Science. outcomes have been equally successful in recent years, especially for Triple Science with 53% of students achieving A/A* grades in 2015.
Newly refurbished laboratories with an “enquiry based” approach to Science offer the means for every student to achieve in this area of the curriculum.
