Learning Support

Welcome to the Learning Support Department at Bishop Fox’s School. We are based in an area of the school known as the Flexible learning Centre, although much of our work in supporting students takes place throughout the school.

Our team works with students with a wide range of additional needs. For example, we have experience of supporting students with

  • general learning difficulties
  • specific learning difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Conditions, ADHD and Dyslexia
  • speech, language and communication needs
  • emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • sensory impairments
  • medical conditions
  • physical disabilities

Our goal is to make sure that each student is given the opportunity to achieve his/her full potential. Students are supported in class or withdrawn on a temporary basis for small group or one-to-one teaching. In-class support is provided in liaison with subject teachers.
