Bishop Fox’s school have been awarded a prestigious award from The National Citizenship Services (NCS) for their partnership work and commitment to NCS.
Bishop Fox’s have had over 100 students participate in the scalene over the last 2 years – the most in the region.
Year 11 students participate in a 2 week programme after their exams; 1 week of outward bound activities on a residential and 1 week of community action in Taunton.
The aim is to develop and promote good citizenship in young people.
Steve Summerill, Deputy Head, who was presented with the award said ‘I am delighted that Bishop Fox’s has been recognised for the hard work of our students. We believe that students leaving Fox’s should be well rounded, with excellent examination results, combined with the softer interpersonal skills promoted by NCS. Well done to all of our students involved’.
