Alice in Fox’s Wonderland

Bishop Fox’s Drama students in Year 7 to 9 presented an adaption of Alice in Wonderland to packed audiences in the schools purpose built theatre. The feedback from Audiences was fantastic and the students received standing ovations each night. The production was directed by Drama teachers Selina Keedwell and Sue Hampson and included a cast and crew of over 50. Sue Hampson said ‘The students were incredibly enthusiastic and showed great commitment which lead to a fantastic production’. Steve Summerill, Deputy head added ‘Bishop Fox’s drama department have had consistently the best Drama GCSE results in the county, this is due to the commitment of the Drama teachers but also of the talent and commitment of our students – we are rightly proud of all the students that took part’. The show was sold out each night and the cast ran a matinee production for local primary schools and ran student lead workshops in 5 local primary schools and a special school. Jo Evans explained ‘We believe very strongly in community at Fox’s and so take great delight when we can work with local primary schools to help develop drama skills amongst our local community’
